Pennsylvania SB917 amends the state's vehicle code to enhance sentencing for homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence.

Pennsylvania SB917 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to enhance sentencing for the offense of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence. Specifically, the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing must provide for a sentencing enhancement if the defendant's blood or breath contains multiple controlled substances or alcohol combined with at least one controlled substance. This act will take effect in 60 days.
