Pennsylvania SB912 amends existing laws to enhance the state's DNA data and testing framework. It requires DNA samples from individuals convicted or adjudicated delinquent for criminal homicide, felony sex offenses, and other specified offenses. DNA samples must also be collected from arrestees for these offenses. The bill reestablishes a Statewide DNA Data Base within the State Police to store these DNA samples and records. It mandates that individuals cannot be released unless a DNA sample and fingerprints are collected.
