Pennsylvania SB91 amends the definitions of "firefighter," "municipality," "police officer," and "volunteer fire company" in the Postsecondary Educational Gratuity Program. The changes apply retroactively to January 1, 2004, making benefits available to qualified children of police officers, firefighters, sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and rescue squad or ambulance service members killed in the line of duty since that date.
