Pennsylvania Family and Medical Leave Act establishes a paid leave program for employees.

The Pennsylvania Family and Medical Leave Act establishes a program providing paid leave for employees for various family and medical reasons. Eligible employees can take up to 20 weeks of leave for reasons such as caring for a new child, a serious health condition, or being a victim of a qualifying act of violence. Employers must provide notice of the program to employees and cannot interfere with employees taking leave. The program is funded through employee payroll contributions and administered by the Department of Labor and Industry.
