Pennsylvania SB895 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to require that every registration card must be in the possession of the driver or carried in the vehicle and shown to any police officer upon demand. Proof of registration can be in paper or electronic form. The bill also provides immunity to police officers from civil or criminal liability if they view unintended materials on an electronic device used to show proof of financial responsibility. The changes will take effect in 12 months.
