Pennsylvania SB87 mandates a training program for housing authority members.

Pennsylvania SB87 amends the Housing Authorities Law to require the Department of Community and Economic Development to establish a mandatory training program for members of housing authorities. The training must cover fair housing, fiscal management, building code compliance, crime prevention, ethics, and open meetings. The program will be at least eight hours long and can be delivered in person, online, virtually, or remotely. Members must complete the training within 180 days of their appointment or reappointment.
