The bill prohibits government-owned electronic devices from downloading, installing, or accessing applications, software, or other technologies that prevent the devices from maintaining or preserving records as required by law. This prohibition does not apply to law enforcement activities, security interests, security research, or risk mitigation actions where such technology may be required.
