Pennsylvania SB840 amends the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's regulatory authority and slot machine requirements. It mandates that each slot machine licensee must operate a minimum of 1,000 slot machines at a licensed facility within one year of receiving a license. The board can grant extensions for good cause. The bill also authorizes the board to approve, deny, or condition requests to decrease the number of slot machines, with a restriction that the decrease cannot exceed 2% of the total number of slot machines in operation.
