Pennsylvania SB741 criminalizes unauthorized use of electronic tracking devices.

Pennsylvania SB741 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to create the offense of unauthorized use of an electronic tracking device. This offense occurs when a person installs or places an electronic tracking device without consent, or causes such a device to be installed or placed on another person or their property. The bill specifies that the offense constitutes a misdemeanor of the second degree for a first offense and a misdemeanor of the first degree for subsequent offenses.
