Pennsylvania SB727, known as the State-owned Assets and Broadband Services Act, mandates the creation of inventories for state and county-owned assets that can be used for broadband services in unserved areas. The Department of General Services will analyze these assets for potential broadband deployment. The act also establishes a Broadband Services Restricted Account in the General Fund, funded by revenues from leasing state-owned assets, to support broadband deployment in unserved and underserved areas.
