Pennsylvania SB714 amends office holder requirements for certain county positions.

Pennsylvania SB714 amends Title 16 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to adjust office holder requirements for specific county positions. In counties of the third and fourth classes, one individual must hold the office of prothonotary, one the office of clerk of courts, one the offices of register of wills and clerk of orphans' court, and one the office of recorder of deeds. However, in counties of the fourth class, one individual may hold both the offices of prothonotary and clerk of courts. This act will take effect in 60 days.
