Pennsylvania SB713 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to allow public transportation vehicles to carry illuminated signs on the rear or side, as long as they do not interfere with the driver's vision through the rear window. These signs must be approved by the department or be a type approved by the department prior to use. The signs must also include features that enhance road safety and be able to communicate with the public through real-time, geofenced, and global positioning system enabled technology.
