Pennsylvania SB708 amends the Health Care Facilities Act to require health care facilities to notify the Attorney General before entering into agreements or transactions that result in a material change. A "material change" includes significant asset sales, mergers, acquisitions, or capital distributions. The notification must be submitted on a form developed by the Attorney General and include specific information. A waiting period must be observed before the transaction can proceed. The Attorney General can hold public hearings and may enjoin transactions deemed against the public interest.
