Pennsylvania SB688 amends Title 16 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to prohibit county commissioners from voting on the appointment of a member of a board, authority, or similar body if a member of their immediate family is an executive-level employee of that body or is employed by an entity that receives a grant, loan, or contract from the board. Immediate family includes parents, spouses, children, brothers, and sisters. The bill also mandates abstention from voting in accordance with restricted activities. This act will take effect in 60 days.
