Introduced·4/28/25
Introduced Text

Pennsylvania SB665 establishes a Safe Exchange Zone Program to provide grants for municipalities to create secure locations for online purchase.

Pennsylvania SB665 creates the Safe Exchange Zone Program within the Department of Community and Economic Development. The program allows municipalities to apply for grants to establish safe exchange zones at participating entities' offices or in public areas. These zones must have video surveillance and clear signage, and participating entities must monitor the zones and assist participants if needed. Grant money can only be used for establishing these zones and is subject to audit. Certain entities are shielded from liability for participants' conduct.
