Pennsylvania SB637 amends qualifications for municipal managers under optional government plans.

Pennsylvania SB637 amends Title 53 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to modify the qualifications for municipal managers in optional government plans. The bill specifies that the municipal manager must be chosen based on executive and administrative qualifications. It also states that the manager need not be a resident of the municipality or the Commonwealth at the time of appointment or during tenure. Additionally, the manager is prohibited from holding any elective governmental office.
