Pennsylvania SB617 amends the Human Services Code to establish a new fee schedule for direct support professionals caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism. The bill mandates that the department apply a nationally recognized market index to update these rates annually, effective July 1. Additionally, for the twelve-month period starting July 1, 2025, and each July 1 thereafter, the rates will be adjusted by the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland area.
