Introduced Text

Pennsylvania SB582 amends grant application deadlines for fire and EMS companies.

Pennsylvania SB582 modifies the grant application process for fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies. It sets a 45-day application period for EMS companies and mandates the commissioner to act on applications within 60 days. Unapproved or disapproved applications after 60 days are automatically approved. The bill also allows for a 15-day extension upon request, without needing to demonstrate hardship or undue burden, but limits such requests to once every three years.
