Pennsylvania Preferred® Food Bucks Program incentivizes SNAP recipients to buy Pennsylvania-grown produce.

The Pennsylvania Preferred® Food Bucks Program provides benefit incentives for SNAP recipients who redeem SNAP benefits for targeted food items. The program aims to encourage the purchase of Pennsylvania-grown produce. Eligible food items include fruits and vegetables without added sugars, fats, oils, or salt. The program will be administered by a Pennsylvania nonprofit organization or entity selected by the Department of Human Services. Recipients will receive at least 40 cents for every dollar of SNAP benefits redeemed for eligible food items.
