Pennsylvania SB523 amends Title 35 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to require health screenings for firefighters and EMS providers. These screenings must be conducted by a physician at least once every three years and cover a range of cancers and cardiovascular conditions. The screenings include liver, gallbladder, kidney, spleen, urinary bladder and prostate, abdominal aorta, testicle and scrotal, pelvic, uterus and ovary, thyroid, carotid, colon, lung, and skin.
