The program provides annual lump-sum retention bonuses of up to $1,000 for qualified staff members and recruitment bonuses of up to $1,000 for newly hired qualified staff members. Qualified child care providers must apply for these payments, which cannot be used to replace existing staff wages, bonuses, or benefits.
