Pennsylvania SB489 repeals the limitation on municipal powers to regulate firearms and ammunition, allowing local governments to regulate firearms on property they own, operate, or maintain. The bill amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to remove the prohibition on municipalities regulating firearms and adds an exception for local governments to regulate firearms on their property. This change takes effect in 60 days.
