Pennsylvania SB47 amends the sale or transfer of firearms laws to increase penalties for illegal firearm sales.

Pennsylvania SB47 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to enhance penalties for individuals and licensed dealers who knowingly and intentionally sell or transfer firearms in violation of the law. Specifically, it holds these individuals criminally liable for any crime or attempted crime in which the firearm is used. Additionally, it imposes civil liability for injuries suffered by any person injured during such crimes. The changes take effect 60 days after the act's passage.
