Pennsylvania SB460 amends the Governor and Lieutenant Governor Disability Procedure Law to clarify succession and incapacity procedures.

Pennsylvania SB460 amends the Governor and Lieutenant Governor Disability Procedure Law to establish clearer procedures for determining and responding to incapacity of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. If the Governor is deemed incapacitated, the Lieutenant Governor assumes the role of Acting Governor. If the Lieutenant Governor is deemed incapacitated, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate assumes the role of Acting Lieutenant Governor. The General Assembly must decide on incapacity within 21 days, and officials can resume their duties if they declare no disability exists.
