Introduced Text

Pennsylvania SB433 amends the Public School Code to expand the powers of intermediate unit boards of directors and modify capital subsidy provisions.

Pennsylvania SB433 amends the Public School Code to expand the powers of intermediate unit boards of directors to include leasing, acquiring, and owning office space and warehouse facilities. The bill also modifies capital subsidy provisions, requiring pre-approval of lease agreements, security agreements, loan agreements, mortgages, or any other contracts for office space, classrooms, and warehouse space by the Secretary of Education. The capital subsidy allocation is determined by a specific formula involving the number of students in average daily membership.
