Introduced Text

Pennsylvania SB416 amends the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act to allow licensed organizations to accept electronic payments for raffle.

Pennsylvania SB416 amends the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act to allow licensed organizations to accept electronic payments for raffle tickets, including credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payment services. The bill specifies that the organization must verify the buyer's age and comply with federal laws on Internet gambling. It also prohibits the use of mobile payment services for playing games of chance. The act abrogates a regulation that conflicts with these provisions and will take effect 60 days after enactment.
