Introduced Text

Pennsylvania SB216 amends storm water management fees for agricultural properties in second-class townships.

Pennsylvania SB216 amends the Second Class Township Code to modify fees for storm water management. Townships can assess fees based on storm water management needs, but these fees cannot exceed the amount necessary to meet federal and state water pollution control requirements. Agricultural properties are exempt from fees greater than twice the median assessment fee. Owners or operators of agricultural properties must provide documentation of costs incurred for construction, maintenance, and operation by September 30 each year. The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
