Pennsylvania SB19 amends the Minimum Wage Act of 1968 to set a new minimum wage of $15 per hour starting January 1, 2026. It also mandates annual adjustments to the minimum wage based on the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland area. The bill allows municipalities to set a higher minimum wage if they declare their intent and wait 90 days. It repeals preemption provisions, allowing local enforcement of wage ordinances.
