Pennsylvania SB181 amends the Pennsylvania Election Code to allow residual funds from terminated candidates or political committees to be used for.

Pennsylvania SB181 amends the Pennsylvania Election Code to modify the handling of residual funds from candidates or political committees that cease their financial activities. The bill allows these funds to be used for any expenditure as defined by the article, returned pro rata to the contributors, or donated to a nonprofit organization. The bill also defines "affiliated," "family member," and "nonprofit organization" for the purposes of this section. A final report must be made by January 31 in accordance with section 1627. The changes will take effect in 60 days.
