Pennsylvania SB179 amends the Prevailing Wage Act to establish debarment periods for firms that fail to pay prevailing wages. If a firm fails to pay the required wages, the Secretary of Labor and Industry will notify public bodies and debar the firm for three years if the unpaid amount is less than $1 million, five years if it is between $1 million and $10 million, and ten years if it exceeds $10 million. The Secretary may also request the Attorney General to recover penalties for the Commonwealth. This act will take effect in 60 days.
