Pennsylvania SB178 amends the Protecting Pennsylvania's Investments Act to mandate divestment by the State Treasurer, the State Employees' Retirement System, and the Public School Employees' Retirement System from companies manufacturing assault weapons. The bill defines "assault weapons manufacturer" and "assault weapons manufacturing activities." It requires public funds to identify and list all assault weapons manufacturers, notify them of divestment plans, and divest from those who do not cease manufacturing within a year.
