Pahira, Jr. Memorial Interchange. The Department of Transportation is required to erect and maintain signs at the interchange displaying the name. Trooper Pahira, born in 1982, was the 106th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to die in service. He graduated from North Schuylkill High School and East Stroudsburg University before enlisting in 2007.
