The bill designates the interchange of Interstate 81 with State Route 4007, known as Exit 119, on the border of Cass Township and Butler Township, Schuylkill County, as the PSP Trooper Michael E. Pahira, Jr. Memorial Interchange. The Department of Transportation is required to erect and maintain signs at the interchange displaying the name. Trooper Pahira, born in 1982, was the 106th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to die in service. He graduated from North Schuylkill High School and East Stroudsburg University before enlisting in 2007.
