Pennsylvania SB1422 amends Title 3 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to add a definition for "cell-cultured protein" and prohibits its manufacturing, selling, delivering for sale, holding for sale, or offering for sale. This product is made for human consumption and is grown or cultivated outside of the animal from which the cell culture or DNA was acquired. The act will take effect in 60 days.
