Pennsylvania SB1415 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to increase penalties for neglect and abuse of care-dependent persons and institutional sexual assault. Specifically, it raises the penalty for neglect of a care-dependent person to a felony of the third degree if the victim suffers bodily injury. It also elevates the penalty for abuse of a care-dependent person to a felony of the third degree. Additionally, the bill increases the penalty for institutional sexual assault by caretakers to a felony of the second degree.
