This moratorium can last up to 18 months and prohibits the filing or consideration of documents related to high impact data centers. A moratorium can be imposed to allow time for infrastructure capacity assessments, public safety and emergency services impact analysis, environmental and community impact evaluations, and drafting and consideration of zoning ordinances.
