Pennsylvania SB1345 amends the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code to allow municipalities to impose a temporary moratorium on the filing or consideration of new applications for high impact data centers. This moratorium can last up to 18 months and is intended to allow municipalities to conduct infrastructure capacity assessments, public safety and emergency services impact analysis, and environmental and community impact evaluations.
