Pennsylvania SB1339 amends the Prothonotary Fee Law to allow an automation fee of up to $10 for prothonotary offices in counties of the second class A and the third through eighth class. This fee can be increased every three years, but the increase cannot exceed the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The collected fees are to be deposited into a special prothonotary automation fund, which will be used for automation and continued automation updates of the prothonotary's office.
