Pennsylvania SB1287 amends the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code to require that ordinances include a provision for water supply in subdivision and land development. Applicants must present evidence of water supply, such as a Certificate of Public Convenience from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission or an application for such certificate, a cooperative agreement, or a commitment to serve the area. This evidence must be presented before final approval.
