If a driver unintentionally causes the death of another person due to careless driving, they now face a misdemeanor charge, a fine of up to $2,500, and a suspension of their operating privilege for up to two years. This act is named the Kyle Costrello and Glenn Compton Law and will take effect 60 days after enactment.
