Pennsylvania SB1276 amends the Pennsylvania Election Code to update candidate affidavit requirements and nomination procedures. It mandates that candidates for state, county, city, borough, incorporated town, township, school district, poor district, election district, party office, party delegate, or for the office of United States Senator or Representative in Congress, must file an affidavit statement with their nomination petition. This statement must include their residence, election district, eligibility for the office, and a pledge not to knowingly violate election laws.
