Pennsylvania SB1238 amends Title 34 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to modify hunting regulations. It allows the use of semiautomatic centerfire rifles that fire.223 caliber or larger ammunition for hunting big game, provided the rifle is limited to a capacity of not more than three cartridges. Additionally, it permits the use of semiautomatic firearms by individuals who have suffered an amputation or lost the total use of one or both hands, if the firearm is modified to permit one shell in the chamber and no more than four shells in a magazine.
