Pennsylvania SB121 establishes the Center for Gun Violence Research to conduct independent academic research on gun violence in the Commonwealth. The center will be administered by a university selected by the Governor. Its mission is to provide policymakers with scientific evidence to develop sound gun violence prevention policies. The center will collaborate with the Governor, the General Assembly, and local governments to identify, implement, and evaluate innovative gun violence prevention policies and programs.
