Pennsylvania SB114 amends the Nurse Aide Resident Abuse Prevention Training Act to introduce several changes. The Department of Health must develop and implement a long-term care curriculum for nurse aides, establish qualifications for training program instructors, and create a train-the-trainer model. Nurse aides must complete a State-approved curriculum, achieve a minimum score on a competency examination, and be supervised by a registered nurse with specific experience. The bill also allows for facility proctoring of competency evaluations under certain conditions.
