Pennsylvania SB1111 amends the Public School Code of 1949 to enhance school security. Starting from the 2024-2025 school year, each school entity must have at least one full-time security personnel on duty during school hours. This personnel must have completed specific training. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, each school building must also have at least one full-time trained security personnel on duty during school hours, unless a waiver is granted. This bill aims to ensure adequate security measures are in place across Pennsylvania schools.
