Pennsylvania SB1083 amends Title 58 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to further provide for well location restrictions. The bill prohibits drilling oil and gas wells within 200 feet of buildings or water wells, and 2,500 feet for unconventional gas wells, without consent from the property owner. It also restricts drilling within 2,500 feet of water supply extraction points without consent from the water purveyor. Additionally, no wells can be drilled within 5,000 feet of schools, hospitals, or reservoirs.
