Pennsylvania SB1023 amends game and wildlife protection laws to regulate the use of bait for hunting deer on private land.

Pennsylvania SB1023 amends Title 34 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to allow the Game Commission to issue disabled person permits for hunting deer using bait on private land. These permits are valid only on private land. Non-permit holders are prohibited from hunting within 200 yards of baited areas, both while bait is present and for 30 days after its removal. The commission can post areas surrounding discovered baited sites against hunting for 30 days after bait removal.
