Pennsylvania SB1021 amends sentencing guidelines to enhance penalties for crimes against immigration enforcement.

Pennsylvania SB1021 amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to enhance sentencing for offenses committed against immigration enforcement. The bill introduces a sentence enhancement for crimes of violence committed to interfere with or disrupt immigration enforcement activities. It also increases penalties for crimes of violence or assault resulting in bodily injury to law enforcement officers or individuals authorized to enforce immigration laws. The Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing will adopt guidelines for these enhanced sentences.
