Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HR341 urges the Department of Human Services to submit required SNAP enrollment data to the USDA.

Pennsylvania HR341 urges the Department of Human Services to immediately transmit the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) enrollment data to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA mandated that states submit this data by July 30, 2025, to help detect overpayments and fraud in SNAP. Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services has refused to submit the data, resulting in a formal warning from the USDA. The refusal risks Pennsylvania losing up to $115 million per quarter in federal funding.
