Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HB94 allows parents to opt out of school face covering or mask mandates.

HB94 amends the Public School Code of 1949 to allow parents or legal guardians to opt out of school face covering or mask mandates. Schools must provide a form for this opt-out on their websites. The form cannot require parents to provide an excuse. The bill also prohibits schools from harassing or discriminating against children whose parents have opted them out, including isolating them or excluding them from activities. The act takes effect immediately.
