Pennsylvania HB879 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to provide concurrent jurisdiction for the Attorney General to prosecute felony offenses related to riot and disorderly conduct. The Attorney General can investigate and institute criminal proceedings if a district attorney fails to respond to a request within 10 days. The Attorney General must develop a manual of best practices for these investigations and make it available on their website. The act will take effect 60 days after enactment.
