Pennsylvania HB821 amends the Human Services Code to require the Department of Human Services to include assisted living services and supplemental health care services as covered medical assistance services in the Community HealthChoices program. This change allows licensed assisted living residences to be certified as medical assistance providers for these services. The department must submit necessary documents to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services within 60 days of the act's effective date.
